Registration for the “JKU Science Holidays” is now possible: from July 15th to August 9th, curious young researchers will once again conquer the Linz campus. They take part in numerous workshops, seminars and excursions for a week each. The topics are as diverse as the JKU’s range of courses: natural sciences, technology, law, economics, social affairs, medicine, sports, nutrition and biology are on the program.

This differs every week, and there is always a colorful mix of content – from programming the first computer game to insights into cell biology and an introduction to copyright law. Sports courses where the children can let off steam are always a fixed component. Excursions, for example to the Ars Electronica Center, are also planned.

The “Science Holidays” invite children aged 6 to 14 to research and discover. There are 680 places in total, 170 per week. These will be raffled off randomly.

The participants are looked after by two educators in four age groups with a maximum of 20 children and accompanied to the workshops. The participation fee of 50 euros includes all costs for workshops and lunch. The care times are Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
