The market town of Altmünster would like to enable all citizens to have a carefree Easter – especially those who are not having it easy financially at the moment. That’s why there’s an Easter wish bush again this year.
From Monday there will be a large Easter bush decorated with cardboard eggs in the foyer of the municipal office. Each egg comes with a voucher worth a maximum of 40 euros, which can be redeemed at a local business. Anyone who would like to fulfill a wish can take an egg from the bush during opening hours. The voucher is then simply handed in to the placement office or to the community’s social services department. The employees of the social department will take over the distribution until Easter. The entire process is anonymous and contactless.
“It is important that the people of Altmünster know that they can turn to the social affairs department not just during the holidays, but all year round,” says Eva Situk from the market town’s social affairs department. “A social shopping cart that provides immediate help in the form of food is available at all times and support is also available in many other forms.”
