Lacalle Pou reaches 45% approval at the beginning of his last year in office

President Luis Lacalle Pou accumulates the approval of 45% of the Uruguayans at the beginning of his last year of management, which marks growth with respect to previous measurements, according to the Opción Consultores survey.

The president accumulates a positive differential of 18 points in terms of the presidential image, while citizens evaluated the area of security, with several fronts opened in recent months, as the most problematic for the government.

The survey stated that 45% of Uruguayans value the government’s work as “very good” or “good”, while 27% consider it “bad” or “very bad”, while 27% rate the management neutrally and 1% prefer not to respond.

The consulting firm highlighted the stability of the approval during the last eight quarters, with a floor of 41% and a ceiling of 46%, figures similar to the 46% of the former president in the same period. Security, the weak point

How do Frente Amplio voters see Lacalle Pou?

Among the voters of Broad Front, 56% openly disapprove of the government and 13% value it positively, while 31% give it a neutral rating. “This is a key explanatory factor for the general positive gap,” Opción Consultores highlighted.

As for the voters of the Republican Coalition, 3 out of 4 approve the management and only 6% disapprove, which represents great stability, with fluctuations ranging between 70% and 75% during the last quarters.
