The pensioner was doing work with a tractor in the garden of a single-family home in Vorderweißenbach, which, according to the police, he lives with his 77-year-old partner when the serious accident occurred. According to his own statements, the 92-year-old mixed up his vehicle’s pedals while he was driving on a slightly sloping meadow.

He drove the tractor, which had a hydraulic tipping shovel mounted on the front, towards his partner (77), who was also working on the garden, and hit her with the shovel. According to police, she was pushed over a stone wall about 50 centimeters high and seriously injured.
The 77-year-old had to be picked up by the “Christophorus 10” rescue helicopter and flown to the hospital after initial treatment.
