At around 10:45 p.m. there was an argument between several men. A 21-year-old and a 45-year-old attacked the opponents and seriously injured them with knives.

Troublemakers prevented the emergency services, among other things, from providing first aid to the injured, and they also hindered the police officers from carrying out their official duties through provocations and, in some cases, from enforcing the arrests of suspected people, the executive reported on Saturday.

Despite the circumstances, the seriously injured, who suffered stab wounds to the upper body, were treated. The 18-year-old and the 21-year-old were ultimately safely taken to the hospital. The two suspects were taken into custody. Several pepper sprays and knives were recovered at the crime scene.

The Vienna State Criminal Police Office, South Branch, has taken over the investigation. The exact course of the crime and the background to it are the subject of ongoing investigations. The interviews of those involved are still pending.
