The child fell out of a window on the 4th floor of an apartment building. A passer-by spotted the boy motionless on the sidewalk and called emergency services. Despite attempts at resuscitation by the police patrol and emergency doctor who arrived immediately afterwards, the child died shortly afterwards Kepler University Hospital in Linz.
It is not yet known how the fatal accident occurred. Both the mother and her partner are in shock and, according to the police, have not yet been able to be questioned.
