A 27-year-old driver was driving in the municipality of Marienkirchen am Hausruck (Ried district) with an alcohol level of 2.16 per mille in his blood on Sunday night. He caused a traffic accident around 1:30 a.m. in which only his car sustained damage.
The police officers who were alerted carried out an alcohol test on site on the driver, who was behaving increasingly aggressively. Suddenly the 27-year-old headbutted a police officer, injuring the officer. After the investigation was completed, the young man was reported to the public prosecutor’s office, the police said on Monday.
