The Bräuhaus Eferding was well attended on Sunday. Around 400 hunters accepted the invitation from district hunter Volkmar Angermeier. Among the guests were state hunting master Herbert Sieghartsleitner and state economics councilor Markus Achleitner.
Angermeier thanked the strong solidarity of the hunting community in the district. The topic was, among other things, the new hunting law, which the district hunter sees as a good legal basis for the future. After 60 years, a revision was urgently needed. Many things that have worked well over the years have been retained and thus secured. “Only in a proven hunting district system with local responsibility and anchoring can the areas of tension between property ownership and hunting be permanently resolved,” said Angermeier and appealed at the end of his speech: “Let’s not get stuck in old ways of thinking! Let’s pass on the joy and enthusiasm of hunting to our own young hunters, because they shape the image and are the basis of tomorrow’s hunting.”
The number of roe deer killed in the Eferding district last year was 3,453 (2022: 3,433). Further route results: 2820 brown hares, 3175 pheasants, 907 wild ducks, 19 wild boar, 178 foxes, 138 martens, 42 badgers.
Hunters who have been actively pursuing their passion for 50 years have been awarded the Golden Fraction: Wolfgang Obermayr (alcove south), Rudolf Arthofer (Hartkirchen) and Hermann Schinko (Strohheim).
Received the diploma for wildlife-friendly habitat design Thomas Holzinger from Prambachkirchen.
