Actually, the yellow sacks should have been picked up a long time ago, but nothing came of it – much to the displeasure of some Puchenau residents, who have little joy in having to store the rubbish at home for longer. Above all, they were upset by the prospect that it would stay that way until December 29th. First of all, the responsible company Zellinger said that earlier pick-up (three streets are affected) was not possible.
A collection on the originally agreed day, it is said from there, was simply not possible due to the weather (snow and ice) and the road conditions (incline). The plan is now to pick up the yellow bags earlier, in the coming days.
Mayor Friedrich Geyrhofer (VP), who has already dealt with the cause, is pleased about this, regardless of the fact that the municipality has no responsibility for garbage collection.
The community chief has already worked out a plan B, in the event that the earlier collection does not work: This provides that the yellow bags are collected by the community and temporarily stored until they are picked up by the company.
