Álvaro Delgado committed to making Uruguay the most developed country in Latin America

The nationalist candidate, who seeks to present himself as the natural successor of the President Luis Lacalle Pou and the continuity of the current government management, showed his intention for the PN to continue leading a succession of coalition governments.

Likewise, in his speech he stressed that this commitment will go beyond a potential continuity of the current government administration, since it recognizes the need to address the new challenges of the current reality.

At the end of last February, Slim He assured that if he becomes President he will declare “war” on insecurity and drug trafficking, something that aroused criticism even from leaders of his party, such as Jorge Gandiniwho questioned the responsibilities of Slim while he was presidential secretary.

“If we have to exercise the government, as I am sure the people will trust us with the possibility of directing the country’s destinies, know that there is a team that will declare war on insecurity and drug trafficking,” the former official of the Executive power.
