Mario Haas started the new working week with self-confidence. Last weekend, the state parliament member was confirmed as the leader of the SPÖ in the Gmunden district with 96 percent. The Red district conference in Alfa in Laakirchen also brought decisions relating to the National Council election, which will most likely take place on September 29th this year. Five candidates are on the National Council list for the Gmunden district.

With great popularity, Elisabeth Feichtinger from Altmünster was once again elected as the top candidate. Other candidates on the SPÖ list include Gmunden city councilor Dominik Gessert, Lea Milicevic from Bad Ischl, Emil Schachtschabel from Laakirchen and parliamentary group leader Marie Santner from Scharnstein. At 36 years old, Feichtinger is the oldest. MEP Hannes Heide got in the mood for the upcoming European elections on June 9th. The Salzkammergut must be given even greater consideration when allocating EU funding.
