The experienced pilot quickly left the cockpit when he learned that a woman on his plane was in labor. His co-pilot took the controls. This was reported by the New York Post.
“Will be able to tell the story for a long time”
The woman was already in the on-board toilet at this point, and it quickly became clear that the new citizen would not wait until landing. The pilot and his crew helped and a healthy boy was born. “He will be able to say for the rest of his life that he was born above the clouds,” says the proud helper.
Mother and son were fine. When the Airbus A320 landed in Bangkok, paramedics were already ready to care for the young family. The boy is said to have been given the nickname “Sky”.
