The 61-year-old from Wels was riding his e-bike in the city center on Thursday around 9 a.m. when a 71-year-old woman from Wels backed out of a parking space in the center. The e-biker, who according to police was riding without a helmet, collided with the rear of the car and fell.

The Welser was seriously injured and taken to the Wels Clinic by the rescue team. An alcohol test on the driver was negative. The police are now trying to determine the exact circumstances that led to the accident.
