It is an 82-year-old man, his 86-year-old wife and their son at the age of 50, as the police reported on Thursday. The bodies were discovered on Tuesday in Trostberg (Traunstein district).
According to the police, the son did not show up for work. That’s why helpers drove to the remote house in a hamlet that belongs to the city of Trostberg on Tuesday lunchtime. As a result, the three bodies were discovered.
The criminal police took over the investigation. The dead were autopsied on Wednesday afternoon. However, results are not yet available. There is currently no evidence of a violent crime, suicide or carbon monoxide poisoning, the police said. Accordingly, there are no concrete traces of involvement by outsiders either.
A police spokesman did not comment on the exact situation when the dead were found. The Traunstein public prosecutor said that nothing could be said about the cause of death at the moment. There are no signs of external injuries. In addition, they are still “at the very beginning” of the investigation and it is not yet foreseeable at the moment when there will be more detailed information.
