“High-fived” with a traffic sign. 13-year-old’s finger was completely severed

The boy jumped up and tried to high-five a traffic sign with the palm of his hand. His ring got stuck on a metal rail and the serious accident occurred, the police reported.

After receiving initial care from the Red Cross and an emergency doctor, the young person was flown by rescue helicopter to the LKH Salzburg. The student was part of an Italian school class that was on the way home from a trip. The accompanying teachers informed the parents.
