It was only the 21-year-old who called the police, and the young man was treated by emergency services and taken to hospital. The 24-year-old happened to meet an acquaintance at Keplerplatz and got into an argument with him for unknown reasons. The opponent stabbed and fled.
A search for the suspect was initially unsuccessful. Further investigations into the crime committed on Friday around 2 p.m. are underway, the police reported on Saturday.
Went to the hospital with a stab wound to the stomach
Police announced a similar case on Saturday afternoon. A 28-year-old went to the Vienna-Brigittenau Trauma Center, better known as the former Lorenz Böhler Accident Hospital, on Friday evening with a stab wound to his stomach. According to the treating staff who notified the police, the patient’s life was in danger at the time. However, after an emergency operation, the man was on the mend.
The injury was likely caused by a sharp object. The 28-year-old initially did not want to say how this happened. The State Criminal Police Office took over further investigations into the incident and the unknown perpetrator.
