The driver was able to leave the vehicle independently and was uninjured.
The Hellmonsödt police alerted the Kronabittedt volunteer fire department. However, recovering the vehicle proved difficult as the car threatened to tip over and slip. In a coordinated effort between the Kronabittedt and Kirchschlag volunteer fire departments and the Bad Leonfelden crane, the vehicle was safely and gently recovered.
During the rescue work, the federal highway was completely closed for the duration of the rescue by the Bad Leonfelden crane.
