The bachelor party of an Innviertel resident was duly celebrated on Saturday in St. Martin im Innkreis, Ried district. The eight-person pompous party was also pulled along the Koblstadt freight road by a tractor on a trailer. The accident then happened in a right-hand bend: the wooden railing on the left side broke and several passengers fell from the moving car.
A 32-year-old was so seriously injured that he had to be taken to hospital by rescue helicopter. Two more of the celebrants, 32 and 31 years old, were also injured and taken to the Ried hospital, but were already released. The 5 others from the stag group signed a lapel on the spot and did not want to receive medical care.
The 32-year-old tractor driver now has to face consequences. An alcohol test showed 0.9 per mille. He has temporarily lost his driving license and is also being reported.
