At the invitation of the Future Region Steyr network, a networking meeting of the Steyr club scene took place for the first time. The aim was to coordinate the local cultural scene and subsequently show the population the Steyr night scene.
“By making the many players in the club scene visible, I want to show that there is really something going on in Steyr. For employers, this is a topic that comes up again and again in discussions and is a concern: the attractiveness of the location for potential workers is more important than ever “, says Daniela Zeiner, head of the Steyr Future Region and host of the evening. In addition to good offers for families and children, this would also include opportunities for young people.
By networking the nightclub scene, she wants to counter the often heard statement that there is nothing going on in Steyr. The meeting was an important step for the local cultural scene. For the first time, it was possible to bring together the main organizers of various club, dance and scene events at one table. Appointment collisions were minimized and a common internal calendar was initiated to ensure a diverse and constant offering. In addition, synergies should be used to better communicate the weekend activities, but also the opportunities on weekdays in Steyr.
An event every weekend
“There should be an event every weekend. This is possible because there are now many organizers. Parallel events are avoided unless they are timed,” says Charly Landa, chairman and initiator of the Pop Up Aid Club.
In any case, the organizers are motivated to pull together to strengthen the local club scene and enrich cultural life in the city. In the future, a common platform should draw more attention to the lively scene in Steyr. We are still working on a common landing page with a resonant, unifying name. This is intended to make Steyr’s nightlife visible at a glance.
“There are many events in the field of electronic music, but other target groups are also addressed and should be informed under one roof,” say Fabian Mayr and Ingo Mitterhuemer from Huepfburg Events.
