Bruckner himself described his work, which he dedicated to “God personally,” as the pride of his life. The Nordwald Chamber Orchestra was able to get an impression of this in 2011 when they performed the work for the first time, thereby setting a milestone in the development of the ensemble. In this year’s anniversary year, the work will be performed together with the Nordwald Chamber Choir. The soloists Juri Eckerstorfer (soprano), Silke Kiener (alto), Arnold Kehrer (tenor), Johannes Peer (bass) and David Neumüller on the organ promise an impressive performance. The concert is directed by Thomas Eckerstorfer.
Two churches that are nicknamed the “Cathedral of the Mühlviertel” will serve as performance venues for “Te Deum” this weekend: the Niederkappel parish church on Saturday, 7:30 p.m., and the Reichenthal parish church on Sunday, 6 p.m. Tickets can be reserved at www.nordwaldkammer.at. Remaining tickets are available at the box office. Seating is free at both concerts.
The anniversary year of the Nordwald Chamber Orchestra has even more highlights in store: An anniversary concert will take place in the Centro Rohrbach on May 26th. Under the title “Film off!” Visitors can also expect four performances in the auditorium at the Loxone Campus in Leopoldschlag from October 17th to 20th.
