Over a long period of time, the 32-year-old from the St. Johann im Pongau district is said to have embezzled around 175,000 euros from two companies. But the man was able to extract a lot more from private individuals: he is said to have received around 300,000 euros between 2018 and 2023, some of which was used in the bankruptcy proceedings of his previous companies and some of which was used for his living expenses.
The man also went abroad in the meantime, but was now arrested in Lengau in the Braunau district and taken to the Ried prison.
