Atletico Madrid won the penalty thriller against Inter Milan

The quarter-finals in the Football Champions League, which will be drawn on Friday (12 noon), are complete. Two Austrians are still represented in the premier class: Konrad Laimer (FC Bayern) and Marcel Sabitzer, who fought his way to a hard-fought 2-0 home win over PSV Eindhoven with Borussia Dortmund and was promoted with an overall score of 3-1.

Jadon Sancho made it 1-0 early (3rd), but later left injured (75th). His substitute Marco Reus made everything clear in the 95th minute.

For ÖFB striker Marko Arnautovic, who is suffering from a thigh injury, the dream of the title is over. His team Inter Milan failed in the penalty thriller against Atletico Madrid at exactly 11:43 p.m.

Goalkeeper Jan Oblak became the match winner for the Spaniards, who Memphis Depay saved in extra time with a 2-1 lead in the 87th minute.

The Slovenian spectacularly saved the penalties from Alexis Sanchez and Davy Klaassen. After the 1-0 home win, the Italians had also led 1-0 at the Wanda Metropolitano thanks to Federico Dimarco (33′), but less than 120 seconds later Antoine Griezmann (35′) signaled the turnaround.
