What were the achievements of Uruguay?
On its social networks, the organization published the five achievements achieved by the Uruguay. The first that stood out is having developed “a new framework agreement with the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP), supporting innovation and rural development, as well as the preparation of the SENDA National Strategy on agrochains, and the strategy on circular bioeconomy.”
Secondly, they highlighted the strengthening “with Ministry of Environment on climate action issues from the Regional Readiness Project of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and development of concept notes for the GCF in horticulture.

On the other hand, they highlighted the importance of the study in collaboration with the IDB “About the forestry sector, we provide support to Honorary Wood Commission and we assume a leadership role in the International Silvopastoral Congress“.
In fourth place is support “for sustainable and carbon-neutral livestock systems, based on the definition of sustainability indicators; as well as the establishment of the Uruguayan Sustainable Meat Table“.
Finally, they assured that they assumed “an important leadership in climate action, through training rural women in climate change, with the organization of the course on good agricultural practices.”
