The Vorarlberg fruit juice and iced tea producer Pfanner increased its sales by 12.2 percent to 406 million euros in 2023, a record. The company, which also operates a factory in Enns, cited positive developments in the core markets (Germany, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic) as well as price increases as reasons. The export quota is 83 percent. Pfanner did not provide any information about the result.

Managing director Peter Pfanner described the global shortage of oranges as a major challenge: One of the causes is the bacterial disease citrus greening, which causes the trees to die. We try to keep the impact as low as possible. The price has tripled since 2020.
