For Ried’s trade fair director Helmut Slezak, the sports fair is something like one “Heartfelt event”. This will take place for the 16th time from Friday to Sunday. The trade fair boss doesn’t skimp on superlatives before the opening. “The offer is unique; you won’t find anything like it anywhere else in Austria. Ried is once again becoming the country’s sporty city. We are looking forward to a great atmosphere”says Slezak.
50 stations in 7 halls
Around 50 sports stations can be tried out over the three days in seven exhibition halls with a total area of more than 11,000 square meters. Numerous competitions such as the popular trade fair runs, a sports forum with specialist lectures and the Wenzel Schmidt Street Soccer Cup take place on the exhibition days.
You can also buy clothing, sports equipment and much more at several exhibition stands. “Being able to present new products every year motivates us as the entire trade fair team every year. The trade fair is a must for all sports enthusiasts”says project manager Fabian Berneder.
Exhibition of the Fischer company
The Rieder ski company Fischer, which turns 100 this year, is represented at the trade fair with an exhibition. The most important milestones in the company’s long history are presented here. At the Friday Ski racer Daniel Hemetsberger comes to the Fischer stand at 10.45 a.m. to sign autographs.
At the Saturday The seventh edition of the fitness convention will take place in the seminar room in Hall 19 from 10.30 a.m. Participation in the 45-minute workouts is included in the admission price.
Tumeltsham nutritionist Christian Putscher recommends visiting the sports fair: “It’s a really great opportunity to get back into the mood for sport. Exercise in everyday life should be a fixed point in order to be able to understand your body better again.”
The sports fair took place on Friday “School Day” open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free on opening day. On Saturday and Sunday you can visit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Day tickets cost 11 euros, discounts are available for children and young people.
