“Platzlwirt is closing again after a year and a half,” was the headline in the OÖNam on November 3, 2023. A little more than four months later, there is now very good news for the Rieder gastronomy scene. The rustic inn on Linzer Gasse, which is owned by the Ried brewery, is opening again with new innkeepers. With Martina Gadermayr and her partner Manuel Philipp, two gastro professionals will take over the inn from May.
Name: “M2’s Platzl”
“The opening is planned for Sunday, May 5th. The name will be ‘M2’s Platzl’,” says Martina Gadermayr. The “M2” stands for the two first names Martina and Manuel. Most recently, the duo ran the beach bar at the Pramet bathing lake.
According to Gadermayr, a successor is being sought for the bar in Pramet.
