At around 1:45 a.m., the St. Florian fire department was alerted by the Suben police. A car had left the road on a very straight stretch of road on the B137 near the Galvanotechnik Shower company. “The car hit a traffic sign head-on and then came to rest on its side,” reports Christian Selker from the fire department.

Since the driver had disappeared without a trace, a major search operation was launched. “Because the car was badly damaged, we had to assume that the driver was injured,” says Selker. Together with officers from several police stations and the support of a drone, more than 40 firefighters searched different areas along the Pram, the B137 and other nearby objects for hours. At 4 a.m., another drone, a police helicopter, and the Red Cross and their search dog team were requested to assist in the search.
The driver of the accident was with his sister
The all-clear was finally given around 6 a.m. The missing man has been found. He was uninjured and was with his sister, who lives near the scene of the accident.
