Fake profile on Instagram: 15-year-old threatened and robbed in Altmünster

According to the public prosecutor’s office, a 14-year-old from Vienna and two friends (14, 13) from Gmunden created a fake Instagram profile of a young woman. They wanted to lure the 15-year-old into a forest.

Filmed and threatened

They managed that too. When the 15-year-old showed up at the meeting point on March 9th, the three young people threatened him with a knife and stole an e-cigarette and 100 euros from him. According to the current state of the investigation, the three alleged perpetrators wanted to get the 15-year-old to apologize in front of the camera – he is said to have bullied another boy. He was threatened with a knife.

Accused investigated

The victim knew the name of one of the teenagers and gave it to the police. The 14-year-old from Gmunden’s house was searched on the same day. The two other accused were identified during investigations. The 13-year-old, who was under criminal responsibility, was questioned. The 14-year-old from Vienna was arrested and taken to the Wels prison. The 14-year-old from Gmunden has been released for the time being. They were charged with aggravated robbery and coercion. The police were able to secure the murder weapon and the stolen e-cigarettes. The 100 euros in cash were no longer found.
