A serious accident occurred on Friday afternoon while working with an excavator in front of a farm in Steinerkirchen an der Traun.
A 29-year-old from the Wels-Land district tried to maneuver the excavator over an embankment around 3:30 p.m. when the heavy vehicle tipped over.

A 33-year-old from the Gmunden district could no longer avoid it and was trapped under the excavator. The 29-year-old was able to free the injured man independently and then called the rescue team. According to the police, it was not yet clear what relationship the two had to each other late in the afternoon.
The 33-year-old was taken to the Wels Clinic with serious injuries.
