The Swiss leads the alpine skiing final in Saalbach-Hinterglemm after the first round with a lead of 0.40 seconds over his compatriot Loic Meillard and 1.39 over the Norwegian Alexander Steen Olsen. Stefan Brennsteiner is in eleventh place (+2.50 seconds) in the race on a rain-softened slope, Manuel Feller is 13th (+2.65), Raphael Haaser is 21st (+4.64).
