Graciela Bianchi warned that she could denounce the Frente Amplio for defamation and insults

The senator of National Party, Graciela Bianchiwarned that he could denounce the Wide Front for defamation and insults in response to the opposition’s comments about the existence of a “dirty campaign” against the Broad Front candidate for the presidency of Uruguay, Yamandú Orsi, and the possibility that the actions in the middle of the campaign are driven by the whites.

The complaint against Orsi for aggression presented by a trans woman on Wednesday morning – although carried out and encouraged by the nationalist militant Romina Celeste Papasso— shook up the electoral campaign in a more profound way than expected: not only because of the accusation against someone who is emerging as one of the leaders with the most possibilities of being the successor of Luis Lacalle Pou in 2025, but because of the intersections generated between the ruling party and the opposition as a result of what has been described as an “operation” against the former mayor of Cannelloni.

In that sense, Senator Bianchi expressed in dialogue with Radio Montecarlo that she could denounce the Wide Front for the statements that its leaders have been making publicly regarding the National Party.

“Dirty campaign is what they have been doing since March 1, 2020. We are not going to give a story of everything they told us, but we can summarize: not the people, but the leaders, said that this is a narco-state, that pandemic deaths were in Executive Tower, that on the fourth floor of the Executive Tower there was an association, or there is, because at this point they speak in the present tense, there is an association to commit crimes… And I could go on. “That is a truly dirty campaign,” Bianchi said about the recent accusations.

“Something happened that happened to us too,” said the senator, in reference to the first complaints against the former nationalist. Gustavo Penadés, last year. “The issue is not that problems arise, problems will always arise because human nature is the same in all games. The issue is how you react to what happens,” he noted, and advised that the Frente Amplistas take it “calmly like we took it, and doing the things we had to do.”

“Now, yes, I warn you: I am gathering comments from leaders, comments that are suggesting or saying that we have something to do with it, and I am referring specifically to the National Party in this,” Bianchi warned and continued: “So the one who is going to make the complaint together with Pablo Iturralde by defamation and slander I will be me”. “Because the nonsense that is being said cannot be said, that there is an international conspiracy…” she considered.

Pereira clarified that there is no accusation against the National Party

For his part, the president of Broad Front Fernando Pereira clarified that at no time was the National Party of being behind what they insist is an orchestrated campaign to weaken a major political figure and candidate, as well as the party itself.

“A public statement has been made but it is not linked to the complainant but to a person who made the complaint and was not a victim, who tells a story that has enormous contradictions with what the alleged victim declares,” Pereira told Radio Monte Carlo. .

“In that case we are going to continue analyzing, we are convinced that we are facing a dirty campaign by a member of a list of the National Party, not the National Party,” he said, adding that “if we thought it was the National Party, we would say it with all the letters.” “This is how we have transmitted it to the president of the board of directors of the National Party and this is how we have transmitted it to the candidate Slim, that we found it in Tacuarembó, added the president of the Broad Front.

“But we do believe that there is a woman from her party who has a registered group, who is doing dirty campaign issues,” he insisted.
