Five years without a certificate
At around 5:45 p.m. a Welser (32) was stopped in Wels-West. The man has been without his driving license for five years. The 32-year-old showed clear signs of drug use. During a clinical examination, his unfitness to drive was confirmed by a doctor.
Speeders overtook each other
Officers noticed three cars around 9 p.m. The drivers raced along the B137, overtook each other and abruptly changed lanes. When the police checked it, it turned out that two of the drivers, an 18-year-old from Wels and a 23-year-old from Grieskirchen, were on drugs. The man refused any examination. It was proven that the young person had consumed narcotics and her probationary driving license was provisionally taken away.
Repeat offenders
A 21-year-old driver was checked by police officers in Marchtrenk around 11:20 p.m. The man had only recently gotten his license back after it was revoked because of a drug-related crime. Now the 21-year-old was driving high again and a drug test was positive. After a doctor confirmed that he was unfit to drive, the man had to hand in his driver’s license again.
