Two people were slightly injured, the Lower Austria State Police Department reported on Monday. The 18-year-old and the 20-year-old, both from Lower Austria, will be reported to the St. Pölten public prosecutor’s office. A weapons ban was also imposed on the duo. In Eschenau and Wilhelmsburg, the accused are said to have fired at a passer-by or a woman from a moped. The men are then said to have driven a car to Hainfeld and shot seven other people there. Two of them were slightly injured.

After several reports, the duo was caught in Hainfeld early in the evening. According to the police, three soft guns and ammunition were found in the car, which were said to have been purchased in the Czech Republic the day before. The two accused are likely to have shot at other road users on the way home from the neighboring country.
