Wolfgang Harrer was an enthusiastic member of the Linz-Ebelsberg Carnival Guild for 32 years, and headed the association as president for 22 years. Now he drew a line in the sand and retired from this role at the beginning of March.
His plan was to retire at the age of 75 anyway, says Harrer in the OÖN interview, and now there are also health problems.
“Love the customs”
“I am a person who loves customs very much,” says Harrer. His assessment of the past decades is positive, even if the city is not an easy place for carnival and the corona pandemic has left its mark on the colorful carnival hustle and bustle.
The Linz-Ebelsberg Carnival Guild will present its new leadership before the start of the new carnival season.
