The 44-year-old’s car left the road in a right-hand bend and crashed into a field driveway, the district fire brigade command reported in a broadcast. The 44-year-old had to be freed by emergency services. Both occupants were flown to the Krems University Hospital by the “Christophorus 2” helicopter.
After the impact, the car was thrown back onto the road. The car was badly damaged in the accident in Waldviertel.
