“Oida!”: Berghütte advertises unusually for summer interns

The Albert Appel House takes unconventional paths.

Addressing young people is not that easy. Especially when it comes to a summer job in the middle of the Dead Mountains.

The Albert-Appelhaus, located between Offensee and Grundlsee at 1,638 meters above sea level, therefore tries it out exclusively in youth language.

“Oida, Hackln in the Appelhaus is like Royale Max Level in Fortnite. But without mom and dad,” says a notice posted on social media. You probably don’t need to explain to young people that “Fortnite” is a highly successful computer game.

It goes on to say that “spending a week or two or maybe even a whole month in the mountains and earning good money for the time with Friends afterwards is immensely rewarding.” Anyone who feels addressed now can contact hut manager Florian Marl: albert-appelhaus-at
