At least 14 people died in a bank explosion in the Pakistani city of Karachi. Another 12 people were injured. On Saturday, December 18, the Express Tribune reports.
According to preliminary data, the explosion occurred due to the accumulation of gas in the sewer network. Most of the dead and injured are clients and employees of the bank.
The country’s health ministry confirmed the number of victims and deaths. The exact reasons for the incident are being investigated, a terrorist act is not ruled out.
Prior to that, on August 15, an explosion occurred in the back of a flatbed truck in Karachi. As a result, 11 people were killed and 10 more injured.
On August 10, an explosion in the Pakistani city of Quetta, located in the southwestern province of Baluchistan, killed one person and injured four others. The explosion was caused by a hand grenade, and the incident happened in a store selling national flags for Pakistan’s Independence Day.
