The red jackets are in their element in the air, on the ground and in the water. In their free time, Red Cross people from the Steyr and Steyr-Land districts rehearsed the midnight performance as “Baywatch” for the “Red Cross Night” on Saturday in the Steyr city hall. The people on the beach parquet, including the city police commander, who for once were not alerted to the blue lights Christian Moser and district fire brigade commander Steyr-Land Wolfgang Mayr, were enthusiastic about the rescue operation in the waves. The National Councilor also applauded Catherine Werner and members of the state parliament Sabine Engleitner-Neu their dancing comrades at the Red Cross, where they themselves volunteer. The deputy state rescue commander Markus Brunner was also enthusiastic about the artistic streak of his emergency services in the Steyr region. District office manager Urban snow white wished the ball guests – among them members of the state parliament Regina Aspalterthe deputy mayors Anna Maria Demmelmayr and Michael Schodermayr as well as local councils Uwe Pichler, Markus Spöck and wife Barbara Spöck (District captain and Red Cross head of Steyr-Land) – welcomed an “exhilarating ball night” and was amused by his slip of the tongue: “No, that’s not what I meant!” Ronald Freudenthallerthe head of the RK Steyr crisis intervention team, was the ball organizer Simon Großbichler the wine bar was stocked – and the audience knew how to really enjoy the fine wines.
