The horse market is probably the oldest event in Ried and was first held in 1484.
Starting at 9 a.m. this Wednesday, the horses will be gathered at the main square for evaluation. The parade then starts at 1:30 p.m. from the exhibition grounds, from where it heads towards the main square. The horses, riders and the twelve impressive teams are expected there at around 2 p.m. From 1 p.m. the Ried town band will play a large concert on the main square. In addition to the Rieder gastronomy offering, there is a Pofesen stand from the Kobernäß riding club. There will also be a large raffle with a pony as the main prize, as well as a children’s make-up station. Free parking spaces are available around the city center and at the Ried trade fair.
