Doka became the fifth tallest building in Austria

Construction site of Tower Twenty Two in Vienna

Formwork technology from the Amstett-based Doka Group is once again being used at lofty heights in Austria. The urban quarter Vienna Twenty Two is being built in Vienna’s 22nd district, the Donaustadt, whose tallest skyscraper will rise 153 meters. Once completed at the end of 2025, it will be the fifth tallest high-rise in Austria.

Doka will once again use its proven hydraulic climbing formwork system on the large construction site and will also set up a special modular scaffolding for the steel construction work. “The chosen formwork solution ensures, on the one hand, a quick construction process and, on the other hand, a safe working environment,” says Herbert Busch, project manager of the Habau-Dywidag consortium carrying out the construction. The 15,000 square meter area will accommodate apartments, offices, two hotels as well as shops and restaurants.

Doka is also involved in building construction on the Quadrill Tower, which is being built on the premises of the Linz tobacco factory, and on the Voest Bridge on the Mühlkreisautobahn in Linz (A7).
