Magdalena Märzinger from Nebelberg, a student at the Hagenberg Agricultural Education Center, was able to represent Austria together with Sebastian Kirchner from the LFS Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse at the European animal judging competition (cattle) in Paris. Magdalena won both the state and national championships last year. Magdalena and Sebastian ended up in the excellent front third. Two cows each of the Brown Swiss and Limousin breeds had to be judged within an hour. The participants realized how important English lessons are when filling out the English animal assessment forms and having stimulating conversations with students from other European countries.

Second Hagenberg woman

Agriculture is presented annually for a week in the middle of Paris. Animals from all French breeds of cattle, sheep and goats were exhibited, demonstrated in four presentation rings and explained to the interested audience. Magdalena Märzinger is the second student from abz Hagenberg to represent Austria at the European level in Paris. Tobias Hainzl from Rainbach im Mühlkreis already achieved an excellent placing in 2020 after previously winning the national championship.

Incidentally, Magdalena was also in the winning team at the Federal Housing Economics Competition in Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse (Salzburg). The next Hagenbergers are already in the starting blocks: The team was able to achieve second place in the national animal judging competition and once again produced the national winner, Johanna Fröschl from Bad Kreuzen.
