On August 15, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. sharp, a long-held wish came true for Patricia and Mia Klidis. The mother-daughter team from Piberbach stood at the summit of Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, which at 5,895 meters is the highest mountain in Africa. On April 12th, the two of them will reflect on their eight-day journey, which took them through four vegetation zones: They will show their multimedia lecture in the Sparkasse Neuhofen an der Krems, doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The two of them are a bit nervous, as they say in the OÖN interview. In addition to photo-video sequences, visitors can also expect a small spectacle. The plan is to recreate excerpts from the summit day in order to show the audience “how we felt about it” – with all the ups and downs.
Clothing donations welcome
While Mia is still undecided whether she wants to climb Kilimanjaro again, Patricia Klidis has already decided. She will set off to the summit again with a group in June (registrations are still possible). “I just had so much fun, I would also like to see the team again.”
At the same time, this is also the perfect opportunity to bring the clothing donations collected for the Porters to Tanzania; there will also be a donation box at the lecture. Info: lustaufberg.at
