Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov arrived on a working visit to the UAE on December 19. At the Dubai airport, Krasnov was greeted by the UAE Prosecutor General Hamad Seif Al-Shamsi and the RF Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the country Timur Zabirov.
Krasnov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and congratulated colleagues on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Prosecutors General visited Expo 2020 – the event precedes a series of official negotiations. Krasnov and Al-Shamsi rated the Russian pavilion of the exhibition as one of the most impressive and high-tech.
On Monday, December 20, there will be meetings of prosecutors at the official level, as well as a number of other negotiations, where they will discuss issues of cooperation and mutual understanding in the field of law enforcement.
In addition, the parties will discuss the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the Russian Federation and the United Arab Emirates. The document provides, within the framework of jurisdiction and friendly relations, interaction between the departments of the two states.
Earlier, on December 15, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is developing cooperation with all Arab countries. He noted that close economic ties have been established between the states, as well as projects are being implemented in energy, aircraft construction, space exploration and other high-tech areas.
