According to the police, this is how the accident happened: The 74-year-old wanted to hang a so-called forced mixer on his tractor and had to stand on the PTO shaft between the machine and the tractor. The hydraulic lever may have been activated. The farmer was trapped between the machine and the tractor.
The 74-year-old had to be flown by a rescue helicopter to the Salzburg State Hospital.
