Sinae ruled out exonerating VAT on repellents

The possibility of temporarily eliminating VAT on repellents had also been raised by the Minister of Health Karina Rando, when he announced that the government was analyzing the alternative and that it would carry out a price study to check whether the values ​​of this product had increased disproportionately to the growth in demand.

However, Sinae ruled out the measure, at least for the moment. As Caramés explained, the VAT on repellents is 10%, the same percentage as that of medications.

Until Friday, according to data from the Ministry of Public Healththere were 231 cases of dengue in Uruguay: 120 indigenous and 111 imported.
