No Easter peace in a bar in the municipality of Kremsmünster (Kirchdorf an der Krems district): In the early hours of Easter Sunday, four guests clashed in a nightclub. A drunken 43-year-old from the Linz-Land district may have provoked the argument, which ended on the ground for those involved, around 3:30 a.m. The restaurant owner managed to pin the man to the ground. What he didn’t know was that the guest was carrying a handgun with two magazines with 10 rounds each.
The innkeeper managed to take the weapon and keep it safe until the police arrived. Meanwhile, the remaining guests left the restaurant. When the police arrived, the 43-year-old continued to behave aggressively and uncooperatively, swearing and insulting the officers. He may have stolen the weapon, which belongs to his partner, from the safe without her knowledge. There is already an official weapons ban against the man. He has been reported several times, the police said on Sunday afternoon.
