From the MTOP they assure that “the closing of the last stage of the automation process that began in July 2022 is approaching”, in an attempt to adapt the systems to the needs of users and streamline vehicular circulation.

The Pando toll will be able to receive cash until this Sunday, but starting Monday it will operate exclusively through electronic toll or Sucive. The only two positions that will continue to accept cash until the end of April are Mendoza (Florida) and that of Soca (Cannelloni).

The automation of the Pando toll is “crucial”, according to the MTOP

The government ministry described the automation of collection at the Pando toll as “crucial”, since 30% of route traffic circulates through it. In January 2024, Uruguayan posts recorded a flow of 4,720,765 vehicles, of which 3,738,839 used the Electronic toll tagwhile 981,926 opted to pay in cash or through Sucive.

Like January 2023, Pando was one of the stations with the highest flow of vehicles, along with La Barra and Solís; These were followed by Soca, Garzón and Cufré, with more than 200,000 vehicles.
