The man probably had an accident on the way home from a visit to the local pub; he fell about three meters over a steep embankment into the stream bed. After relatives reported his disappearance on Monday morning, the 33-year-old was discovered dead in the stream bed during a search, the police said.

The man was last seen in Jochberg at 2:30 a.m. After the lifeless body was found, attempts at resuscitation were made, but were unsuccessful. The Innsbruck public prosecutor’s office ordered an autopsy to clarify the cause of death.
