Russia calls Poland’s arguments against Nord Stream 2 untenable

Russia considers Poland’s arguments against Nord Stream 2 untenable; the decision to launch the gas pipeline will definitely not be taken in Warsaw. This was stated in an interview with Izvestia by the Russian ambassador to the republic Sergei Andreev.

“The Polish authorities have long and consistently opposed the Nord Stream 2 project. We consider the arguments that the Polish side is making in this case untenable. With regard to the launch of the SP-2, the decision, of course, will not be made in Poland. Its prospects, however, will be more qualified by specialists competent in this area, ”the diplomat emphasized.

Earlier, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said: Poland believes that Nord Stream 2 can be “an instrument of pressure and blackmail, and all the risks associated with its launch have not yet been identified.”
