Team Guglwald takes on the marathon challenge

Four running meetings at four different locations: Whether through the Rechberger harness hall or in the PlusCity car parks – the Mühlviertel hotelier Alexander Pilsl from the Wellness Hotel Guglwald always comes up with something very special for his running meetings. “For our running training, we consciously look for locations where our participants would otherwise not be able to run. This year we were particularly successful in the dishes quarter, because when do you run between meter-high piles of dishes? But of course nothing broke,” says Pilsl happily. The Guglwald running coaches were probably also responsible for this, because training is always carried out in different ability groups – so there is something for everyone. The head coach is none other than marathon professional Günther Weidlinger. According to Weidlinger, it is important to be able to adapt to different environments when running, as this ultimately supports the running competition itself.

Training and team spirit

However, before the competition approaches, the Hotel Guglwald brought its runners together at its opening event. More than 300 Guglwald participants came to PlusCity to get a few more tips from the sporty stage guests. So nothing stands in the way of a successful start to the marathon this weekend. The participants strengthened themselves with liver loaf rolls and gin and tonic from Peter Affenzeller, and with the goodie bag full they headed back home. Now it’s time to gather strength before the “Guglwald moves” team, the largest and greenest group, starts at the Danube Marathon on April 7th.
